What’s the difference between Dry Ice, Vapour, and Media Blasting
Each method has its own purpose:

Dry Ice Blasting – best for gentle cleaning, removing dirt and old coatings without damage or moisture.

Vapour Blasting – adds fine media and water for a smoother, detailed clean, great for metal parts and components.

Media Blasting – uses ultra-fine glass or similar abrasives for heavier corrosion or coatings

How much does Blasting or underbody cleaning cost?
Prices vary depending on the size and condition of the vehicle. We recommend booking our free underbody inspection first so we can give you an accurate quote.
How long does the process take?
Most underbody cleaning jobs take 1-2 days depending on size and condition. Full prep and coating services may take longer.
Do you remove rust completely?
Dry Ice Blasting removes surface dirt, grease, loose rust, and old underseal, but not deep or structural corrosion.
When needed, we switch to Vapour or Media Blasting for heavier rust removal, followed by rust converter treatment and protective coating.
By combining different cleaning methods, we achieve the best possible finish and highest-quality results for every vehicle.
Do you work on vans & long wheelbase vehicles?
Yes, our workshop has a long wheelbase ramp capable of lifting vehicles weighing up to 8 tons. We work on vans, caravans, campervans, & small trucks.
Do you apply rust protective coating?
Yes. After cleaning, we apply various premium underseal coatings from a range of manufacturers according to the customer requirements to protect your chassis long-term.
That includes clear coatings for classic cars and durable black finishes for daily drivers or 4x4s.
All products are salt-resistant and long-lasting, ideal for Scotland’s climate.
Is dry ice blasting safe for my car?
Yes. It’s non-abrasive, chemical-free and moisture-free, making it safe for most car and van underbodies.
